Noel Mathews Gondwe was born on 17 October 1974 at Rumphi hospital. Home is Mpherapi village T/A Mtwalo. Noel Gondwe is the third born in the family of 7 but out of 7 three are still alive. Noel Gondwe started singing in choirs with his sister late Molly Gondwe and elder brother Duncan Gondwe in 1990. This time Noel was living with parents in Nsanje District and was in standard 8. Noel worked with his choir master Sydney Makoka from 1990 to 1994 in Ntcheu District at Ntcheu CCAP. Noel was a product of Dhaweh CDSS also known as Ntcheu CDSS where Sydney Makoka followed his family from Nsanje to Ntcheu.

Noel Gondwe attended primary at the following schools: Kazuni F.P school from standard 1-2 ,3-4 at Bumba model in Rumphi , 5 at Mzimba LEA school and 6-7 at Kamuzu LEA in Mchinji and Bua primary in std 8.
From 1996-2001 Noel Gondwe was living with her aunt prophetess Mayi Nyajere (Mrs Nkhonjera) at Chilobwe Healing Ministry. It was at this time where Noel Gondwe started composing songs like Kupita Kugahena Nzochita kufuna, Chikhulupiriro, Tiagalu, Mbuye Mabala, Mai Maria of which some of the songs were recorded in the second album titled Galamukani. The group called NOXY G & the 4 sisters was formed comprised of Faith Nkhata, late Susan Gondwe, Chrissy Zimba and faless Kanyerere.

Noel was employed by the Ministry of education in 2001 as a Primary school teacher and finished Teachers training at Monfort College in 2005. Noel joined the University of Malawi –The Polytechnic now MUBAS in Diploma in Industrial laboratory (DILT). Noel also did BSc in Environmental Management in 2012 as mature entry.In 2014 Noel was transferred from Mphande Primary to Thawale Secondary School as Science teacher. Noel was assigned as Head of Science department. In 2019 Noel obtained University Certificate of Education UCE at Chancellor College and continued teaching science subjects at Thawale Secondary School. Noel was an innovator and managed to make a simple water treatment plant which was showcased at Kamuzu Academy Science fair in 2019 with students from Thawale. In 2021 Noel designed a simple flask and showcased at Kamuzu Academy. In 2022 Noel was offered a post as Skill Development Officer in the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) with the Department of Innovation and Creativity (DIC).As of now in Noel Gondwe is praying at Mwala C.C.A.P with Mwala Praise Team but in two months to come Noel will be residing at his plot in Mchezi Trading centre.
